A revamped suite of monthly newsletters aimed directly at USC’s Black, Latinx, and Asian Pacific alumni and students, highlighting news and events to increase awareness and engagement of these groups to each other and to the university.

The before and afters sold this entry to us. This redesign and refocus was timely and appropriate for each of the audiences represented. The panel appreciated the balance of brand and distinctive visual approach for each newsletter. These redesigns took place proactively and feel fresh and relevant to current events. We also appreciated the nuanced approach to issues of concern to each alumni group taken by each newsletter. Content for underrepresented alumni can feel formulaic; it's clear that the editorial team at USC knows these audiences well, and approaches content selection and creation in a nuanced way, focused on quality storytelling.
