Office of Advancement and Alumni Engagement Culture Project
From the Nominator
Emory University’s Office of Advancement and Alumni Engagement (AAE) aspires to have the best possible workplace culture in our industry. With that goal in mind, AAE launched the AAE Culture Project as an initiative of the Office of the Senior Vice President, with the full endorsement of AAE’s Leadership Team. The primary aim of the AAE Culture Project was to assess the current culture of the division, and develop a roadmap to establish preferred organizational culture in 2020 and beyond. The AAE Culture project is now in its second phase, and plans are underway to regularize the work and focus of the Culture Project going forward.
From the Judges
We were impressed by this campaign and the focus of making culture change a part of the fabric of the organization. We were also encouraged by the use and retainment of internal consultants from Emory’s Goizueta Business School. The project included voices throughout the division, which guided their work and produced a new Mission Statement, Vision Statement and Values.
