From the Nominator
An annual print compendium to the IU College of Arts and Sciences' online magazine, this publication stresses design-forward layout and artistically crafted prose. It includes a range of content, including a “20 Under 40” list, multi-spread alumni profiles, special features, and informational articles. Our alumni profiles strive to be both artistic and highly engaging, with writers connecting to their subjects in the style of non-fiction essays. The result is a magazine that's at once visually beautiful and profoundly compelling.
From the Judges
The graphic design in the IU College of Arts and Sciences Annual Print Magazine was unique, uncluttered and very pleasant to look at. The magazine did a nice job of focusing on alumni achievements and stories that were relevant, but not necessarily entirely about COVID-19 response. There is a very effective use of budget and a noted one-man shop.
