    From the Nominator

ContribUTe is the largest student-led giving campaign at UT Austin. The campaign is hosted by the UT Student Foundation, a student philanthropy organization sponsored by Texas Development, and benefits the university’s Counseling and Mental Health Center, Student Emergency Services, and the UT Outpost Food Pantry. With guidance from the Annual Giving Programs, the Student Foundation’s 2020 ContribUTe campaign successfully raised more than $51,500 from 1,332 students in the month of October. The 2020 video was scripted, storyboarded, and created by the Student Foundation in collaboration with Andres Villa, a student worker for the Annual Giving Programs team majoring in Radio-Television-Film.

    From the Judges

This video was well executed and had a compelling message. The call to action from students, to students was specific, and spoke to the impact that fundraising could make on their campus community, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic.
