From the Nominator
Coordinated with Notre Dame Research and the Provost’s Office, Women Lead is a strategic content feature that celebrates and highlights a diverse group of our prominent female researchers and mentors of our students who are either from an international background or work in an international context as part of the International Women’s Day celebration. The seven faculty members who are profiled represent each of Notre Dame’s seven colleges and schools. Profiles describe the impact of their research, what is it like being a woman in their field, among other topics. The website has a homepage and seven profile pages, each with creative illustrations incorporating black-and-white photographs of the researchers, and custom graphics relevant to their research topics. In celebration of International Women’s Day, meet seven outstanding faculty members whose work is contributing to better understanding and quality of life in our world.

Notre Dame slices through the noise with a creative clean, “sketch”-based design that brings you directly to the women-focused content tied around International Women’s Day. The integration of content from the landing page to social platforms felt seamless. Hyperlinks tie into the greater Notre Dame website, keeping all content in the same ecosystem. 65% of traffic came from off-campus, doing something that all universities long to achieve: engage non-alumni audiences to grow your institution’s reach.
