#LboroMemories was a successful campaign launched to tap into nostalgia in the alumni community. Based on the success of Throwback Thursday posts, we ran a two-week campaign, seeking user-generated content from alumni. #LboroMemories continues to engage alumni on a weekly basis via our social media channels. We established a supply of user-generated content for future use on social media channels and encouraged alumni to ensure their contact details were up to date.

Loughborough University created a nice play off of Throwback Thursday that attracted a multigenerational audience. Virtually sharing memories of college years creates great feelings no matter the graduation year. This low-cost program generated high-interest impact from alumni and was an effective use of limited resources. This program could serve as a model for any institution and offer great results.
