The Citadel’s Office of Communications and Marketing created a dynamic, video-centric marketing campaign called Our Mighty Citadel to tell the unique stories of our campus community. Kate Manzione’s profile, Field and Formation, is one example. Leadership is an integral part of The Citadel experience; Kate exemplifies how one can lead in multiple ways and how the unique experience at The Citadel translates in all aspects of her life. Our small team brought Kate’s story to life by utilizing resources available internally at no cost. Kate’s story is a recruiting piece to attract potential cadets, especially female and out-of-state students, two populations our college would like to grow. This video is featured on our campaign website and YouTube channel, is included with other campaign videos in an interactive TV display board in the college’s Welcome Center, is shared on social media, and is used as a recruiting tool by admissions and soccer staff.

An excellent profile and athletics video, able to stand on its own, even when it is part of a series of videos supporting the Mighty Citadel project. The videographer managed to capture a lot of engaging b-roll even though it is obvious only one camera was used. A solid narrative, good timing and clear footage make this video a model for any profile project with a team of one.
