The Golden Anniversary Reunion is a relatively new and highly successful annual event delivered on a shoestring. We invite back our alumni who graduated 50 years ago to join the current year's graduating class at winter congregation (graduation). The day includes being part of a special Congregation procession for the official ceremony hosted by the university’s chancellor. Following the graduation ceremony, alumni are escorted to an exclusive afternoon tea with the Vice-Chancellor, college principals and other executive and senior staff, where some truly emotive and inspirational life stories are shared via speeches, sound (courtesy of that year’s most popular music) and vision (alumni and university campus/local photographs from the year/decade of focus).

Successfully met the judging criteria by delivery a highly engaging event on a limited budget by leveraging available assets and infrastructure. The event effectively highlighted and demonstrated the significance of engaging the community across multiple generations.
