    From the Nominator

To commemorate Emmanuel’s 100th anniversary, the college launched a special microsite to help celebrate the transformative power of the Emmanuel experience and those who have contributed to its enduring mission. The site not only seeks to showcase how Emmanuel’s mission has stood the test of time for 100 years but that with the continued support of alumni, donors, friends, advocates, and influencers that the college will continue this mission for another century. As part of the site experience, alumni and friends of the college are encouraged to contribute memories, photos, and videos to be included on the site, discover more about special events throughout the year, and even volunteer as part of a special Centennial Service Challenge. Viewers can also reflect on the many milestones of the past and share in the vision of Emmanuel’s future through a historic timeline and 100 facts about the college. The site also features a special Centennial store where viewers can shop for limited-edition items to show their Emmanuel pride.

    From the Judges

We awarded the gold to Emmanuel. We appreciated the user engagement opportunities, integration of current students into storytelling, and the discipline in information architecture that results in a clean and focused user experience. The well executed UX and copywriting allowed a sense of whimsy to shine through, augmented by the small animations and other effects that could have potentially been a distraction, but were used with finesse.
