Jeff Selingo
Jeff Selingo is a New York Times bestselling author of four books on education and the job market, including his newest, Dream School: Finding the College That’s Right for You (September 2025). Based on than two years of research and a survey of some 3,000 parents, the book gives families permission to think more broadly about what signals a “good” college and then the tools to discover their dream school. His previous book, Who Gets In & Why: A Year Inside College Admissions, was named one of the New York Times’s 100 Notable Books of the Year in 2020.
For more than twenty-five years, his in-depth reporting and storytelling have provided practical insight about the future of higher education and the workforce to university leaders, corporate executives, as well as students and parents.
Jeff has talked before scores of colleges, businesses, healthcare organizations, and financial services companies and helped leaders understand what’s next for education and how companies can better compete for talent, especially among today’s Gen Z. He has appeared at the Milken Global Institute, LinkedIn, Ohio State University, Salesforce, Spain’s Bankinter Innovation Foundation, the Association of Schools Advancing Health Professions, and Deloitte, as well as before the boards of Carnegie Mellon University, the Duke Endowment, and Amherst College, among others.
As both an observer of higher education and an insider with an academic appointment at one of the largest universities in the country, Jeff occupies a unique position to explain the intersection between work, life, and learning. He writes regularly for The Atlantic, the Washington Post, the New York Times, and the Wall Street Journal.
His research focuses on the changing nature of work and its impact on education, paying for college, the student experience, and shifting expectations for what the public and employers want from colleges. He is co-host of the podcast, Future U., and writes a biweekly newsletter, Next.
Jeff is a special advisor to the president and professor of practice at Arizona State University, where he is the founding director of the Academy for Innovative Higher Education Leadership. He has also served as a visiting scholar at Georgia Tech’s Center for 21st Century Universities. In addition, Jeff regularly counsels universities and organizations on strategy.
Previously, Jeff was the top editor of the Chronicle of Higher Education, where he worked for sixteen years in a variety of reporting and editing roles. His work has been honored by the Education Writers Association, Society of Professional Journalists, and the Associated Press.
He received a bachelor’s degree from Ithaca College and a master’s degree from the Johns Hopkins University. He is a member of the board of trustees at Ithaca College and the board of directors of the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS). He lives with his wife and two daughters near Washington, D.C.

Hailey Sullivan
Hailey Sullivan enters her fourth season leading the Denver Broncos’ marketing and is the club’s first ever Chief Marketing Officer.
Hailey has a diverse background in brand development and marketing with a proven track record building meaningful connections between brands and fans. In her role, she is responsible for deepening the Broncos' relationship with current fans and engaging the next generation of fans.
As a member of the Broncos' senior leadership team, Hailey directs the organization's integrated marketing team that spans brand strategy, creative, digital media, content, broadcasting, gameday presentation, international marketing, and fan engagement talent.
Prior to joining the Denver Broncos, Hailey spent two years as Chief Marketing Officer for RealSelf, a beauty tech community and go-to online destination for making cosmetic treatment decisions and connecting with doctors. She also worked as CMO for MGA Entertainment from 2019-21, overseeing an innovative portfolio that included iconic brands such as LOL Surprise, Bratz, Little Tikes, Rainbow High and many more.
From 2010-19, Hailey worked in various roles at Mattel, ranging from Head of U.S.
Marketing to an overseas stint in Hong Kong as Head of Asia Pacific Marketing. With Mattel, she helped grow brands such as Barbie, Fisher-Price, Hot Wheels and Thomas & Friends.
Hailey graduated from Yale University with a BA degree in economics. She earned her MBA from Columbia University; after which she served as a consultant for McKinsey & Co. with a focus on marketing and growth engagements. Hailey is married to Patrick, a production designer for films and they have one son Connor and a fur-son Buddy.

Sandy Young
Sandy Young joined the Denver Broncos Football Club in June, 2002 and currently oversees the team’s partnership marketing department. She is responsible for the implementation, execution and retention of over 120 Broncos corporate partnerships. Prior to her current role, she served as Director of Marketing overseeing the team’s fan and brand assets and led the team’s United in Orange campaign during back-to-back playoff runs.
Young has spearheaded the Broncos first mobile app, stadium naming rights implementation, partner and fan events such as “John in the Hall,” Broncos in London, Super Bowls 48 and 50, and the on-going intersection of Broncos partners with social media, data driven initiatives and performance measurement. She sits as a co-executive sponsor on the Broncos Trailblazers Women’s ERG.
Young participated in the 2014 Impact Denver program through the Denver Metro Chamber Leadership Foundation and the 2019 Women of Impact and Influence program through the Colorado Women’s Chamber of Commerce. She was selected as the 2023 Denver Broncos representative for the NFL League of Leaders program in partnership with the National Football League and Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business for Executive Education. She served on the board for Kenzi’s Causes, a local Colorado charity that supports underprivileged children and their families and created the Operation Christmas initiative that provides holiday support of meals and toys to families in need/transition. She’s also a regular donor at Vitalant Blood Center.
Young graduated cum laude with a degree from Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa in Journalism and Mass Communication with an emphasis in Advertising and Marketing. During her time at Drake, she participated in Semester at Sea, in Spring, 2000. Young is a Colorado native and married to Scott, with a son (Jeffrey) and daughter (Allie).

Teresa Valerio Parrot
Teresa often says that while her husband is her true love, her alma mater was her first love. Higher education is her home. She is known for honesty juxtaposed with optimism; the two combine to provide communications counsel focused on transparent leadership and relationship building. Teresa helps higher education executives truthfully share excellence and genuinely own mistakes through their communications and actions because she knows honesty is present in all sound proactive and crisis outreach.
Previously, Teresa served as senior vice president for Widmeyer Communications and vice president for SimpsonScarborough. She counts almost 10 years of service with the University of Colorado, including an officer-level appointment as Assistant Secretary of the University.
She is co-host of the Trusted Voices Podcast, co-editor of Call to Action for Inside Higher Ed, and has numerous bylines with national and higher education media.
Teresa earned a bachelor’s degree in communications from the University of Colorado Boulder, a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Colorado Denver, and a doctoral degree in higher education policy and leadership from Southern Methodist University. She holds accreditation in public relations from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).
She lives in Longmont, Colorado, with her husband and dogs. Each year she threatens to become a runner and instead spends her time traveling with her family. Don’t get her started on how amazing her college-aged daughter is unless you have a spare hour or two. Or three. She serves on the boards of PRSA, the Colorado-based Scientific and Cultural Facilities District (SCFD), and KUNC public radio and the Colorado Sound. She is a member of the Denver Ballet Guild.
