My journey with CASE began in 2010, when I used to attend the conferences CASE organized in Mexico. I remember how much I enjoyed attending, as it allowed me to learn and see what other educational institutions were doing. Each event left me full of new ideas and gave me the opportunity to connect with professionals in the field. Who would have thought that, years later, I would end up organizing those very events I once enjoyed so much!
I studied communication sciences at Universidad Anáhuac (proudly a CASE member institution), to which I will always be grateful for the training and growth opportunities it provided me. During that time, I was involved in various collaborative learning activities, which allowed me to discover a passion that would shape my professional path. My career began as a high school and university professor, an experience that deeply defined my vocation. Over time, I naturally became more involved in the world of education and philanthropy, particularly in areas such as communication, fundraising, and volunteer engagement, among others.
I have had the opportunity to work with a wide range of causes that are deeply meaningful to me, including community kitchens, cultural initiatives, supporting children with cancer and individuals with Down syndrome, as well as initiatives focused on addressing poverty and inequality. Each of these experiences has reaffirmed my passion for working with people and causes that seek to create positive change. I am driven by constant challenges and by the belief that learning and collaboration have the power to transform realities and strengthen communities.
Today, that conviction continues to guide my path, especially through international collaborative work, where the exchange of ideas, experiences, and cultures becomes a powerful tool for transforming education and strengthening our communities.
I currently serve as Director of Educational Programs and Marketing for Latin America, a vibrant, diverse, and constantly growing region, with multiple challenges and great opportunities ahead. Working with our members is a deeply enriching experience; their warmth, passion, and professionalism inspire me to build educational programs that can be applied both professionally and personally. In many of them, I have found remarkable individuals, professionals, and mentors.
Our region stands out for the richness of our culture, the creativity and resilience of our people, and the deep connections we are able to build with one another. Although there is still much work to be done, we continue to prepare ourselves every day to elevate Latin America and show the world that its true strength lies in its people, its culture, and its ability to transform education.
Today, beyond titles or projects, my work represents a way to contribute, build bridges, and continuously learn from the people I collaborate with. I deeply believe in education as a tool for social transformation and in the power of collaboration to generate real and lasting change.
BUILDING BRIDGES: Ana Cecilia Puron Brown, Director of Educational Programs and Marketing for Latin America, calls working with CASE members a "deeply enriching experience."
