CASE Appoints Kerri L. McGovern as Vice President for Membership, Engagement, and Volunteerism
The Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) is pleased to announce the appointment of Kerri L. McGovern as Vice President for Membership, Engagement, and Volunteerism, effective August 26.
In this role, McGovern will oversee CASE’s global strategies to grow and engage the association’s membership, including stewardship of CASE’s extensive network of dedicated volunteers.
McGovern brings more than 15 years of experience in association membership strategy, marketing, and leadership. She joins CASE from the Association of Corporate Counsel, where she most recently served as Senior Director of Membership. During her six years there, she led initiatives that contributed to significant increases in membership and revenue, while launching award-winning digital engagement tools and campaigns.

In addition to her professional experience, McGovern has served in volunteer leadership roles with the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) and the Association Women Technology Champions (AWTC), reflecting her personal commitment to building strong professional communities.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and law & society from American University and a Master of Public Policy from George Mason University, along with the Certified Association Executive (CAE) and Association AI Professional (AAiP) designations.
With her global perspective, strategic vision, and passion for volunteer leadership, McGovern will play a key role in enhancing CASE’s member journey, expanding international engagement, and strengthening the association’s thriving community of members and volunteers worldwide.
