Rebecca has 16 years’ experience working in higher education in a variety of roles covering admissions, recruitment, outreach, marketing, alumni engagement and development, PR and communications, brand, policy, and business engagement. Rebecca is practised in working with college and education partners, policy organisations, industry and sector partners, prospective students of varying backgrounds, parents/carers of prospective students, external associations, and local government.

Rebecca first progressed to Director at the University of Wolverhampton in January 2020 and has experience of working with teams of 3 to 100 staff across several small, medium and large universities. She is currently Director of Student Recruitment at Birmingham Newman University and is responsible for the University brand, student recruitment, marketing, admissions, PR and communications, web, social media, and CRM. With a large remit and a small (focused) team, Rebecca has mastered the art of the ‘no...but what we can do’ and is known for her direct and candid, but humorous approach to leadership.
