Bio

Nik has been designed and implemented engagement campaigns as a global practitioner and consultant for over twenty years. He has been commissioned by a wide range of leading universities in Europe, North America, South Africa and Australia, recently including Trinity College Dublin, University of Oxford, University of Pretoria, the University of Western Australia, the University of Helsinki and McMaster University. 

Nik is published on engagement and fundraising strategies, and has been commissioned to lead reports by the Cabinet Office (the Office of the British Prime Minister), the BBC and the Wellcome Trust. He is co-author of the CASE-More report Accelerating Ambitions, published in August 2023, reviewing ten years of fundraising in higher education, and making recommendations for the decade ahead. 

Nik is a CASE Laureate and was recognised for his teaching with the CASE Crystal Apple in 2019. He is a Research Fellow at the University of York (UK), a non-executive on the KPMG Inclusive Leadership Board, an Honorary Friend of the European Molecular Biology Laboratory, and a trustee of the Unite Foundation (disbursing over £9m annually to support students who are under-represented in higher education). He also founded the Bridge Group, a leading national charity supporting social equity – where he was CEO for a decade up to 2025 and led research commissions from many leading global firms.
