Magazines: Alumni/General Interest (Printed Three+ Times a Year)
For four-year colleges and universities. Entries should be a print magazine targeted to alumni and/or a general audience, printed three times a year or more (not including digital-only editions). The magazine should represent the entire institution, not a school or college within the institution. Magazines must have a cover date between January 1, 2023 and Dec. 31, 2023.
Regardless of how many were printed, submit only two complete editions in PDF format.
Grand Gold and Gold Award winners from this category are automatically considered for the Robert Sibley Magazine of the Year Award.
Do not enter:
Magazines for colleges or divisions within the university. Enter those in Magazines: Alumni/General Interest (Targeted Audience).
Magazines that were only distributed electronically.
Judges will score nominations from 1 (lowest) to 10 (highest) in these five areas:
Overall concept and creativity
Content, writing, and editing
Design and layout
Audience engagement
Use of resources (budget, people, and time) and return on investment
Judges also may consider:
Special circumstances/overcoming adversity
Quality and clarity of nomination and supporting materials
