Federal Funding Task Force
CASE is proud to announce the release of the updated 2025 Federal Funding Report for Education:
This report is possible thanks to the 2025 Federal Funding Task Force (FFTF). FFTF members are community college grant professionals who meet with federal program officers each year.
The FFTF by the numbers
Within the 200+ grant programs included in the report is information on dozens of Department of Education programs (TRIO, Title III, Title V, and more), the National Science Foundation’s Department of Undergraduate Education programs, and more.
The report is a CASE member benefit. If you need help logging in or joining CASE, contact [email protected].

2026 Federal Funding Task Force
November 1 – November 4, 2026
The Federal Funding Task Force (FFTF) is a network of volunteers who convene in Washington, D.C. each fall to visit with federal agencies on behalf of the higher education grants community. Our volunteers are grants professionals, primarily from community colleges, but also represent non-research, four-year degree colleges. In visiting with agency program officers, we hope to learn about grant programs and other opportunities that are relevant to community colleges and other similar educational institutions. We also learn about pilot grant projects, how colleges might advocate for important programs, and what we may expect to see for future funding opportunities and federal trends. In addition to specific grant opportunities, FFTF volunteers learn about other resources agencies may have to assist us in developing better proposals, how to communicate with agencies and program officers to better serve our interests as colleges, and how colleges can advocate for and support federal agencies’ missions and priorities within our communities.
The culmination of these visits is the annual updating of the Federal Funding Report for Education available on the CASE website. Joining the FFTF is FREE* and the application is open to all CASE members. If you are unsure about your institution’s CASE membership status or if your institution is not a CASE member, please contact [email protected].
* Please note, CASE does not charge for participation on the Task Force, but FFTF participants are responsible for their own travel to/from and accommodations in Washington, D.C. We realize institutional budgets for the next academic year are likely being formed this spring, so please keep this in mind as you apply to FFTF.
