Christie Campbell

Christie Campbell

Vice President for Marketing and Communications, St. Edwards University

Christie Campbell joined St. Edward’s University in 2012 as Associate Vice President of Marketing with more than 17 years of marketing and communications experience across industries including education, non-profit and technology. Her expertise includes implementing integrated marketing strategies and successfully developing talented teams. At St. Edward’s, Christie oversees the marketing mission of promoting the university story to increase engagement, attract resources, and achieve the university’s strategic goals. Christie is proud to work with the award-winning marketing and communications team as well as the St. Edward’s government and community relations programs. She holds a bachelor’s degree in French and Art History from Vanderbilt University and a Master of Business Administration from UT– Austin.

Tracy Manier

Tracy Manier

Vice President for Enrollment Management, St. Edwards University

Tracy Manier is the Vice President for Enrollment Management at St. Edward’s University in Austin, TX.  She has worked at St. Edward’s since 1997 and has been instrumental in the university’s plan to grow enrollment.  During her 17-year tenure as Dean of Admission, the undergraduate population doubled in size—from 1850 students to over 3700.  Tracy has developed expertise in the areas of financial aid leveraging, student search, direct marketing, brand awareness, staff development and mentorship, and strategic planning. 

Tracy’s expertise in enrollment growth at small colleges, financial aid optimization, staff development, and national enrollment trends makes her a frequent speaker at conferences.  She has served on the faculty at the Admission College Counseling Institute, the Advisory Board of St. Mary’s Cathedral School, and on the Board of Directors for the National Catholic College Admission Association (NCCAA) where she serves as President during in the current year (2019-20).  She has published op-eds on the subject of selecting the right college and navigating the college admission mania.  She is also a member of the National Association of College Admission Counseling and the Texas Association of College Admission Counseling.

Tracy has also served as an adjunct faculty member at St. Edward’s from 1998-2004, teaching a survey course in literature.  She obtained her B.A. in English and Philosophy from Trinity University and M.A. in English from The Pennsylvania State University.  Tracy is also a 2012 graduate of the Harvard Institute for Educational Management and a participant in the 2015 CIC Senior Leadership Academy Class.

Manuel Carballo

Vice President & Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid, Oberlin College

Manuel Carballo joined Oberlin College as the Vice President and Dean of Admissions and Financial Aid in 2017. A staunch advocate for the value of liberal arts education with significant experience in multicultural and international recruitment, Carballo joined Oberlin after twelve years at Middlebury College where he most recently served as Director of Admissions. 

Carballo earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Swarthmore College, where he began his admissions career, and a master’s degree in international education policy from Harvard University.

Associate Vice President for Enrollment Marketing and Communications, University of Arizona

Christie Harper is Associate Vice President for Enrollment Marketing and Communication at the University of Arizona. She is responsible for marketing initiatives that drive undergraduate enrollment campus-wide and all enrollment for the University of Arizona Online.

Previously, she served as Assistant Vice President for University Marketing at California Lutheran University. There, she led all marketing initiatives for enrollment, advancement, athletics and brand development. 

Prior to joining Cal Lutheran, she was founder and president of brand consulting firm Brand Endeavor for 4 years, and served 8 years in a senior leadership role at Siegel+Gale, a leading global brand consulting firm.  Christie earned a B.A. from UCLA, and an M.A. from USC.
