Bio

Chris Knudson is the chief marketing officer and director of marketing and communication at Wartburg. He serves as strategic counsel for the vice president of advancement and generates campaign and marketing approaches for the institution. Additionally, he serves as a senior lecturer and has taught courses in graphic design, public relations writing and e-business among others. Knudson is a national and regional presenter on the topics of branding, strategic web development, design and public relations. Over the past two decades, he has been independently contracted as a multimedia and graphic design consultant.

He has also been a loyal MarComm professional to CASE for 20 years, including involvement on conference planning committees, the board of directors and the cabinet. Throughout his years, he demonstrated leadership and direction in all of his positions. In 2021, he led the CASE All-Districts virtual conference – the first of its kind. This was one example of how his vision, collaboration and impeccable planning helped facilitate an outstanding and unique experience for more than 19,000 CASE members.

He earned his bachelor’s degree from Wartburg College and his master’s degree from the University of Northern Iowa.
