Bio
Charlotte has worked in marketing and communications for over two decades, with the first eight years agency-side working for brands such as Lurpak and the BBC as an agency Account Director in PR and digital, before moving into HE in 2009. At the University of Bradford, she was initially responsible for communications, alumni and development, before becoming Head of Marketing and Communications. She then progressed to Leeds Beckett University, firstly as Associate Director of Marketing, and then Director of Marketing, Recruitment and Admissions.
She joined Aston in March 2024 with responsibility for external relations, marketing, recruitment and admissions, and had led significant student recruitment growth, delivered a disruptive brand proposition, and launched Aston Power Skills and guaranteed internships for all Master’s students.
Her biggest passion is building and nurturing high-performing teams to help them realise their full potential, and she currently serves on the CASE Universities Marketing Forum Voluntary Executive Committee, where her mission is to support the next generation of HE marketing and communications leaders. Having completed her MBA in 2002, she is currently studying a qualification in coaching.
