Syracuse University’s Office of Alumni Engagement launched the ’Cuse Conversations podcast in July of 2019 as a digital engagement platform designed to reach alumni where they were. Each episode allows listeners to hear directly from Syracuse University alumni who are leaders in their field, making a difference in their community and proud to be Orange.
Episodes are hosted by alumni John Boccacino '03 and Chris Velardi '95 with the Office of Alumni Engagement, and feature diverse alumni guests from a broad variety of career fields, representing all of Syracuse University’s schools and colleges. The guests share information and inspiration with listeners as they explore their career journeys, discuss the impact Syracuse University had on their lives, and highlight the ways they give back to their alma mater and current students.
Our initial goal was to produce two podcasts per month, though–with no shortage of potential guests–our output has been greater. We have seen a great response from alumni, with more than 7,500 listens to the podcast since our launch—an average of more than 153 listens per episode.
