"OnlyinNebraska.org was built to strengthen the overall visibility of Only in Nebraska: A Campaign for Our University’s Future, the largest campaign in the University of Nebraska’s history, with two goals—engage 150,000 unique donors to raise $3 billion.
The overall goal of the campaign website OnlyinNebraska.org was to create an engaging and informative site that serves as a hub for the campaign’s internal and external efforts, increasing awareness of campaign efforts and encouraging alumni and donors to take action by learning more, engaging deeper and donating.
The campaign microsite was launched the morning of Nov. 18, 2022, a few hours before an exclusive announcement of the campaign was made to university faculty and staff by the university president and all four chancellors. That afternoon, the launch was shared with the media, and that evening a kickoff gala was held. In all of these places, the URL OnlyinNebraska.org was prominently shared and promoted.
Between Nov. 18 and Dec. 31, OnlyinNebraska.org had 11,254 views from 7,285 visitors. The top two days during that time period were the day of the public launch (1,164 visitors) and the day the inaugural, quarterly campaign e-newsletter was sent, which included the microsite URL (999 visitors)."
From the Judges
Judges found this to be a strong, visually appealing site, with great font choices and user-friendly navigation. The drone footage and videos evoke the spirit of the state of Nebraska and the use of the state outline as a progress thermometer was a nice touch.
