Great options for restaurants and eateries abound in San Francisco! Conference attendees will have the following dates and meals to sample local cuisine on their own:
- Wednesday, March 4: Dinner
- Thursday, March 5: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner (be back by 8 p.m. for CASE-hosted Dessert & Bubbles in the Hyatt Regencyʻs Grand Ballroom)
- Friday, March 6: Dinner

- Kokkari $$$$ - Greek
- Location: Jackson Square (walkable)
- Note: Best Greek food you’ll ever eat
- Park Tavern $$$ - Californian
- Location: North Beach. Fun fact: Saints Peter and Paul Church across the square is where Marilyn Monroe married Joe Dimaggio
- Note: One of the best eats in the city. From the same group that also created Marlowe and The Cavalier, also incredible
- Roka Akor $$$ - Japanese Steakhouse
- Location: Jackson Square (walkable but suggest Uber)
- Notes: Excellent lunch spot with a $29 prix fixe with incredibly generous portions that’s out of this world
- Taquerias $ - $$
- Pretty good anywhere; Uber to the Mission for the best. Taqueria Guadalajara (4798 Mission Street) is a favorite

- Location: 691 Market Street (a healthy walk)
- Note: In the historic Hearst Building - it’s easy to miss the inconspicuous door with the typewriter emblem. A cool, speakeasy vibe awaits as you go down the stairs into a beautiful lounge with amazing cocktails
- Pagan Idol $$
- Location: 375 Bush Street, FiDi (walkable)
- Note: Step into the belly of a wooden ship, only to be guided through to a tropical island experience complete with waterfall and fog. #tikibarFTW
- Li Po Cocktail Lounge $
- Location: Chinatown (suggest Uber)
- Note: A dive bar that’s been around since the 70s, one of Anthony Bourdain’s old haunts, best known for their Chinese Mai Tais
- The Saloon $
- Location: North Beach (healthy walk - probably Uber)
- Note: Founded in 1861, oldest bar in the city
DON'T MISS
- Ferry Building
- Location: Across the street! The Embarcadero
- Note: World-class eateries such as the Slanted Door, Brown Sugar Kitchen, Hog Island Oyster Co, and Cowgirl Creamery, and beautiful shops with artisan items made in California. The Embarcadero is a great place to walk/run/scoot
- Coit Tower
- Location: North Beach (take an Uber)
- Note: Built in the 1930s thanks to a philanthropic gift from Mrs. Coit. The inside of the tower features gorgeous Works Progress Administration (WPA) murals and offers a lovely view at the top
