Bio

Patrick Sanders has a passion for people and more than a decade of experience identifying, developing and stewarding meaningful relationships between individuals and mission-driven organizations. He is the Executive Director of Development and Alumni Relations at The George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health (GWSPH),  His work focuses on invigorating GWSPH's fundraising and alumni relations programs. Among his accomplishments at GWSPH, he has launched the school's inaugural Recent Alumni Advisory Council (RAAC), established an annual student, faculty and staff fundraising campaign, "I Heart GW Public Health," and has driven more than a 250 percent increase in scholarship funds raised and a tripling in the number of scholarship donors.

Prior to GWSPH, Sanders worked at Georgetown University Law Center directing its regional alumni engagement strategy, including managing six alumni councils, 25 annual events and 75 alumni volunteers. While at Georgetown, he earned his master's degree in public relations and corporate communications. He is a proud Colby College alumnus and for the past decade has co-chaired his class's annual giving efforts. In recognition of his service to his alma mater, he received Colby's Blue Key Award in 2018.
