Missy Ryan Penland is a nationally recognized development professional who brings more than 20 years of development experience with large universities, colleges, hospitals, private schools, and social service organizations to Clemson University as the associate vice president for development. Since joining Clemson in 2007 Missy has been responsible for personally raising more than $36 million and now managing a team of 40 development professionals who are an integral part of Clemson University's annual goal of raising $140M. Missy is secretary/treasurer of the Foundation for Philanthropy of AFP and also sits on a number of committees at the international level of the association.
