Bio

Cathy Swick is a self-motivated, high-energy designer specializing in print. She believes the glory is in the details and has a deep appreciation for vocabulary, proper grammar and typographical flow. As the senior graphic designer in Purdue Research Foundation’s University Development Office, she is responsible for developing and applying creative and visual strategy to marketing materials for Purdue University’s capital campaign, special events and building dedications and signage. Prior to Cathy’s in-house role at Purdue, she was a successful freelancer for more than 17 years. Her clients represented a variety of industries, but most noteworthy was her role as the creative director and primary designer of Wabash Magazine, Wabash College’s alumni magazine. She is the recipient of more than 80 industry awards including Pride of CASE Awards, CASE Circle of Excellence Awards, American Advertising Federation Awards, and the Pinnacle Print Awards. She is best known, however, for gracefully falling down the stage staircase at the ADDYs early in her career.
