Giedrė’s role as Director of Alumni Relations focuses on managing relations with Vilnius University alumni, creating opportunities for engagement, mobilising and strengthening the community and energising alumni movement in the University. In the year since starting in this role, Giedrė created a strategy for the development of a close relationship between the University and alumni.

Giedrė advocated and succeeded to include alumni projects into the strategic plan of the University. Currently the major ongoing projects are: opening the Universities services to the alumni, creating the communication platform, introducing a fundraising system, creating physical spaces and occasions for cooperation, including alumni in the decision making process at the University and running a public communication campaign.
