Q: Why are campus partnerships important to advancement work?

Angela: A couple of things come to mind. First, being an active listener is so important, whether you are meeting a constituent face to face or speaking on the phone. Let them know they are being heard – whether they are happy about what you are doing or unhappy. You’ll always get a better response when you listen – and follow-up! The other piece of advice is to always follow-up and follow-through on what you promise. Try hard not to let even those small tasks and alumni requests slip through the cracks. People remember the little things you do for them and will remember you well for it. It builds trust and a positive reputation which will extend to your institution.

Q: Tell us why CASE DI members will not want to miss this program!

Adrienne: Burlington is a great town and it’s the perfect time of year to visit Vermont and network. Always take the opportunity to hear how others are dealing with the same things you are!
