This session will explore the ethical quandaries organizations grapple with, discuss the basics of due diligence research, and provide resources and best practices to keep your organization out of the headlines.

You’ve heard the buzz, but what is analytics? This session will help demystify analytics and talk about various shops.
Limited Time Offer! Act Fast! How to Strategize and Prioritize Parent Prospects
How much time prospect development invests in parents will ideally be equivalent to how much time and effort will be invested in getting parents engaged with your institution. Do you have a Parents Fund? Parents Program staff? Parents Committee? Are you a shop of one? We’ll share suggestions and best practices about how best to use your time and pitch shiny parent prospects to frontline fundraisers.

Large school, small school, public or private...we all can learn from each other. Learn some great new approaches for tackling some of prospect development's perennial challenges! Faculty members will share short stories and key takeaways they have learned throughout their advancement careers.

Wealth screening vendors: they're all the same right? No longer! In recent years, the industry has finally seen some innovation as vendors utilize new datasets and methodologies, and clients find novel uses for the products. In this session we will review how the landscape of technology and vendors has changed, and how to take advantage of cheaper, better, and newer products.

Everyone talks about moves management as being an elixir to fix or jumpstart any fundraising operation… but what does an effective moves management program actually look like? This session will explore what works and what doesn’t work when developing a moves management program as well as providing tips and tricks to create a rockstar moves management program.
Income; It’s Not Just the Numbers
High income earners often have similar assets to those in finance who are typically compensated through a bonus structure. The ways in which they earn their income impacts how they think about their money and ultimately their philanthropy. In this session we will explore the psychology of this and strategies we might employ towards these industries.

One Size Does NOT Fit All – Finding what works best for you and your organization
What is the problem you are trying to address? Bloated portfolios? Lack of prospect discovery/qualification? Moving leadership annual giving donors to major gift attention? Building trust with frontline fundraisers? Using data to help inform and make decisions instead of tradition or gut instincts? Prospect management can help with some or all of these things, but it’s important to start with an overall marketing and strategic plan to help best address the unique opportunities you are facing and how to get others on board.
There’s A Map For That: Navigating Policy Development
Does your organization have established policies? Are your organization’s policies in desperate need of updating? This session will explore best practices and provide practical strategies for developing and implementing effective policies such as a prospect management policy.
4:15–5:30 Advocating for Your Shop and Yourself
As prospect development professionals, we are key problem solvers and inform high-level strategy within our organizations. To demonstrate the value we add, we must learn to advocate for ourselves and our shops. In this session we will share stories and strategies to help empower attendees in work, management and career. This session is intended to be interactive so please come with questions and stories of your own to share.

In this session attendees will learn from Rayid Ghani, distinguish career professor at Carnegie Mellon, about the fundamentals of machine learning, how it can be used for social good and how it can be applied in fundraising.
10:30–11:30 Stump the Faculty
Wrap up the conference with a fun Q&A session. Bring any questions you didn’t get answered and put our faculty presenters to the test. You may submit your questions in advance or during the session, anonymously or openly.
