Melissa began her career at the University of Georgia in 2012 with the Terry College of Business before stumbling across the stewardship profession in 2015. With degrees in painting and nonprofit arts administration from UGA and Florida State University respectively, she brings a love of learning, design, and storytelling to donor relations by creating impact reports and coordinating collaborative stewardship efforts between schools and colleges. Since joining the Office of Donor Relations and Stewardship, Melissa has built an impact reporting program that includes chair and professorship reports, leadership giving newsletters, and special reports for trustees and principal gift donors. She also leads the Team Stewardship initiative that serves as professional development for donor relations staff across the university and oversees the development of donor communication projects including emails, acknowledgements, financial reports, and giving societies materials.
