Volunteer Opportunities

CASE runs on volunteer power.
Each year, more than 350 volunteer leaders serve on CASE boards and advisory groups. Another 3,200 advancement professionals volunteer their time as speakers, authors, conference planners, judges and more.
CASE volunteers are at all stages in their advancement careers, from newcomers to senior-level practitioners. They work across the advancement disciplines—alumni relations, communications, development and marketing—and around the world. They may serve a multi-year term on the CASE Board of Trustees or host a single session at a conference.
Whatever role they play, volunteers are at the heart of everything CASE does. They drive CASE's direction, develop and share knowledge about the profession and deliver services to their peers.
CASE Volunteer Opportunities Include:
- Presenting: CASE conferences are designed and developed by volunteers who are CASE members, education leaders, and other experts willing to share knowledge and expertise. Submit a proposal for a session you would like to present at a conference or register your interest in hosting a virtual or other in-person presentation. Learn more here.
- Writing: CASE welcomes proposals for Currents magazine articles and books. Learn more here.
- Award judging: The Circle of Excellence Awards -- and all of our awards -- rely on the generosity of CASE volunteers who share their time and knowledge to help identify the best practices in educational advancement. Learn more here.
- Serving on a committee: CASE welcomes nominations for volunteers to serve on our governing and advisory boards, including the CASE Board of Trustees, regional councils, district cabinets, and CASE Commissions. Learn more here.
- Supporting young professionals: CASE believes that those who are just getting started on their career journeys can benefit from the wisdom of those who have traveled the path before them. Give back to the profession by mentoring, coaching, or hosting an intern.
