Bio

Kirsten Lavin is a classically trained musician who began her career in arts administration.  In her tenure at Johns Hopkins University, she led communications teams at the Peabody Institute and the Office of Alumni Relations before helping to build the strategic communications and donor recognition platform for the $6-billion Rising to the Challenge Campaign for Johns Hopkins.  As Director of Stewardship and Donor Engagement, Kirsten guides the personalized stewardship of top donors to both Johns Hopkins University and the Johns Hopkins Medicine, and leads a team working on discreet projects for principal level donors.  Additionally, she leads the way for institutional policies and practices that champion stewardship activities across the whole of Johns Hopkins, with the goal of building and enhancing relationships with donors at all levels.  Kirsten has presented at the Association of Donor Relations Professionals International Conference, the CASE District II conference, and served as co-chair for the 2019 CASE Annual Conference for Donor Relations Professionals.
