Lisa Lewis
Lisa Lewis joined the University of Minnesota Alumni Association as president and chief executive officer on May 31, 2013. During her tenure, she has expanded the association's focus to serve 500,000+ Twin Cities and Rochester campus alumni, created a customer-centric culture to deliver meaningful programs, strengthened campus partnerships, and initiated system-wide alumni engagement metrics to evaluate and improve alumni connections worldwide.
A 32-year association professional with experience managing higher education organizations, Lewis focuses on enriching the lives of alumni, supporting student success and advancing the University of Minnesota. She led the CASE Commission for Alumni Relations and served on the CASE Alumni Engagement Metrics Task Force and the CASE Curriculum Task Force. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Council for Alumni Association Executives (CAAE) and chairs its Awards and Fellowships Committee.
Lewis graduated with honors from the University of South Florida with degrees in marketing and public relations.
Rosetta L. Clay
Rosetta L. Clay is a full-time doctoral student studying Diversity & Equity in Education with an emphasis in Human Resource Development at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. After more than 15 years working in philanthropy and alumni engagement in higher education, Rosetta realized her passion as her purpose and pivoted professionally to add her voice to the critical work of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEI&B) with a focus on equity and belonging. As a belonging advocate seeking equity, Rosetta is committed to educating and empowering individuals, institutions, and organizations to understand the theory of belonging through a process of becoming “diverse by design.” Rosetta currently consults on various DEI&B and business projects, facilitates inclusive workshops, and presents on the journey of diversity, equity, and inclusion leading to belonging.
Rosetta has a wealth of knowledge in administrative leadership, philanthropic engagement, organizational leadership, and strategic planning. She has also led numerous teams including annual giving, special events, and marketing communications. Her experience includes leadership roles at the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business (B1G Ten) and North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University (#1 public HBCU). She has also strategically directed alumni board development and restructuring, division planning, special events and marketing communications. Rosetta has always approached her roles from a lens of inclusivity with a goal for equitable outcomes. She understands the importance of diversity on college campuses as a reflection of the larger society which is a driving component to ensuring greater representation for minoritized individuals while educating those in the dominant population(s).
Rosetta received her bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. She earned her master’s degree in Marketing with an emphasis in Strategic Communications from The Johns Hopkins University Carey Business School. She is currently pursuing her doctoral degree at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Bill McCausland
Bill McCausland is responsible for leading the University of South Florida Alumni Association to its goal of supporting USF’s success by engaging and connecting students, alumni and friends to the university and one another. As the Alumni Association celebrates 50 years in 2019, this Preeminent State Research University has more than 348,000 graduates worldwide.
Bill currently serves as secretary on the CAAE (Council of Alumni Association Executives) Board of Directors and as the chair of the Alumni Council of Executives of the American Athletic Conference. Prior to USF, Bill was chief operating officer at the Ex-Students’ Association of the University of Texas. He received an undergraduate degree in journalism in 1983 from the University of Texas at Austin and graduated from the University of South Florida with an MBA in 1996.
Patrick Sanders
Patrick Sanders has a passion for people and more than a decade of experience identifying, developing and stewarding meaningful relationships between individuals and mission-driven organizations. He is the Executive Director of Development and Alumni Relations at The George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health (GWSPH), His work focuses on invigorating GWSPH's fundraising and alumni relations programs. Among his accomplishments at GWSPH, he has launched the school's inaugural Recent Alumni Advisory Council (RAAC), established an annual student, faculty and staff fundraising campaign, "I Heart GW Public Health," and has driven more than a 250 percent increase in scholarship funds raised and a tripling in the number of scholarship donors.
Prior to GWSPH, Sanders worked at Georgetown University Law Center directing its regional alumni engagement strategy, including managing six alumni councils, 25 annual events and 75 alumni volunteers. While at Georgetown, he earned his master's degree in public relations and corporate communications. He is a proud Colby College alumnus and for the past decade has co-chaired his class's annual giving efforts. In recognition of his service to his alma mater, he received Colby's Blue Key Award in 2018.
