Keynote Session
Mike Goodwin will share his thoughts on the future challenges facing advancement professionals, exploring:
- How changes in charitable deductions will affect individual and corporate giving to higher education, as well as how these changes will drive us to modify our programs while realizing opportunities that benefit our constituents.
- How a tightening focus on keeping tuition increases down will require us to do more with less and redesign our legacy programs to optimize institutional resources.
- And, in the face of waning public support for higher education, he will lead a discussion on adjusting our messaging to keep the public engaged and aware of the economic impact and social benefit our institutions provide.
- A panel of local thought leaders will react to Mike Goodwin's presentation and a hosted reception with wine, beer and hors d'oeuvres will follow.
