Matthew Ter Molen

Matthew Ter Molen

Vice President, Institute Advancement, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute

 

The vice president for institute advancement is responsible for oversight of the division of advancement, including strategy, services, and infrastructure; alumni relations, engagement and communications; and development, focusing on, individual, corporate, foundation, and international advancement initiatives through philanthropic support of the Institute.

Matthew J. Ter Molen has more than 30 years of expertise in development and fundraising. Most recently, he was the Chief Advancement Officer and Senior Vice President at Syracuse University, where he served for more than eight years. In this role, he oversaw all alumni relations and development activities, including the planning, launch, and execution of the $1.5 billion University-wide campaign "Forever Orange," which raised more in private philanthropy than at any other time in Syracuse University history. Prior to Syracuse, Ter Molen held a range of positions at Northwestern University, the most recent being the Associate Vice President and Campaign Manager. Ter Molen's career began at the University at Chicago in their annual giving office.

Ter Molen holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from Miami University in Ohio, and served in the Peace Corps in Honduras for two years prior to the start of his career in fundraising.

Assistant Vice President of Talent Management, LSU Foundation

Dr. Yvette Marsh currently serves as the assistant vice president of Talent Management for the LSU Foundation, a role in which she is responsible for the oversight of all talent management and human resource functions. She previously served as the Director of Training and Development for Louisiana State University and as a consultant with SSA Consultants, an internationally recognized organizational development firm. Her educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, a master’s degree in Information Systems and Decision Sciences, and a doctorate in Human Resource Education with an ISDS minor, all from Louisiana State University.  She has served in executive roles on numerous boards, including the Louisiana American Institute of Banking, the Greater Baton Rouge YWCA, Campus Federal Credit Union, LSU's Swine Palace, and the LSU Museum of Art.

Senior Director of Talent Management for Advancement and Alumni Relations, California Institute of Technology

Katrina Onderdonk is the Senior Director of Talent Management for Advancement and Alumni Relations at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech).  Bringing over 20 years of experience and expertise in talent management, she specializes in organizational planning, executive search, learning and development, and building workplace culture.  Katrina’s career spans both corporate and non-profit sectors, including leadership roles where she has made significant contributions to the growth and success of each institution.  Prior to joining Caltech, she was a Search Consultant with S. Benjamins & Company, and began her career at Bank of America Securities and Gap Inc.

Katrina holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from the University of California, Berkeley, and is actively engaged in the Los Angeles community, contributing her expertise to various non-profit boards.

Theresa Davis

Theresa Davis

Associate Vice President of Advancement, University of Southern California

With nearly 30 years of management and fundraising experience, Theresa Davis has a diverse background ranging from campaign management and major gifts, to corporate and foundation relations, annual giving, and alumni relations. She is currently associate vice president, University Advancement, at the University of Southern California (USC). She has oversight of USC’s regional offices located in Northern California and New York and leadership of a team of major, principal, and transformational gifts officers located in Los Angeles. Theresa has also held leadership of USC’s Corporate and Foundation Relations, Reunion Giving, and Parent Giving and Engagement teams. 

Prior to coming to USC, Theresa was the vice president of university advancement and CEO of the Tower Foundation at San Jose State University (SJSU). As chief advancement officer, for the founding campus of the California State University system, Theresa had oversight of development, alumni and community engagement, advancement and campaign operations, campus special events, and the Tower Foundation of SJSU. 

Additionally, Theresa was the assistant vice president of engagement and annual programs at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech). There, she had responsibility for alumni relations, the Caltech Associates, and the Caltech Fund and Parents Program. The function of each of these areas is to advance public understanding, advocacy, and support for the institute by strategic engagement of its key constituencies. 

Davis has also served as the associate vice president of college and program development at Cal State Fullerton, with responsibility for the directors of development assigned to each of the campus' eight colleges and the athletics department. She has been the associate vice president of major and planned gifts at Children's Hospital Los Angeles; campaign director for the California Science Center; senior director of development for the UCLA College; director of development for the A. Gary Anderson Graduate School of Management at UC, Riverside, and associate director of corporate relations and also director of the Alumni Fund at Caltech. 

Theresa has a bachelor's degree in business administration from Arizona State University and a master's degree in public administration from the University of Southern California.
