Writing: COVID-related
Entries should be a single article of any length written about any aspect of the COVID pandemic. The entry may have been published in print or online, and in an institutional publication, or via a media outlet or other publication, and may also include news releases. Brief sidebars may be included, but do not submit multiple stories or series.
Note: As a writing category, judges will not consider design or presentation in their evaluation of entries, but will consider how information is organized.
Judges will score nominations from 1 (lowest) to 10 (highest) in these five areas:
Overall concept and creativity
Research and reporting
Organization, writing, and editing
Understanding of target audience(s)
Use of resources (budget, people, and time) and return on investment
Judges may also consider:
Quality and clarity of nomination and supporting materials
Special circumstances/overcoming adversity
