From the Nominator
Waking up on our annual Giving Day is always exciting, especially when we could share this special parody video of the song “Good Morning Baltimore” from the movie Hairspray with our entire community. “Good Morning, Giving Day” was used to build hype around and create awareness for our annual Day of Giving. Looking for a fun way to get our message across, and after a very successful video last year, we pushed the envelope to make another video that would outperform the previous one. The result: a video that caught the eye of the entire Newark Academy community, and made our Day of Giving a great success, hitting our goal just days before we had to close campus due to COVID-19.
From the Judges
This was a hands-down favorite that went above and beyond what we expected in this category. The production and creativity that went into this reminded us of a Broadway production. It uniquely hits the mark for their audience, utilizing immense talent right in their own alumni office. It made us want to give!
