The Discovering the Wolverine guide is an informative marketing booklet that follows the journey of Utah Valley University as they discover more about their mascot. The booklet showcases research from renowned wildlife biologists, a journey to Alaska to photograph wolverines, and the life lessons they learned along the way. It was a way to tell a unique story of the UVU brand, and to do it in an educational way. This mailer is sent to prospective students to inspire them to take/continue their own journey of learning.
From the Judges
The judges thought this is a well-executed and playful entry, that tells the story behind the UVU brand. The design and foil on the cover is clean and simple but the content is very clever and engaging. There is beautiful photography of the landscape and the wolverine throughout the piece. The illustrations are a nice addition to the overall design. The typography is clean and elegant. The print quality and perfect bind enhanced the piece’s unique size and shape.
