    From the Nominator

More than 28,000 vehicles pass through IUPUI’s downtown Indianapolis campus each day. The “Busy Campus, Busy Streets” campaign brings attention to the bustling nature of IUPUI, a place that is fully immersed in the city and its opportunities for internships, residencies, and community engagement. The purpose of this campaign is to remind drivers, pedestrians, bicyclists, and even scooter riders that we’re lucky to be in such a busy place—we just need to pay attention to our surroundings.

    From the Judges

Indiana University successfully implemented a public awareness campaign and chose to take a on a real problem—one that many campuses face. The visual cohesiveness of the campaign’s deliverables across mediums was impressive. This was more than a poster here and there; it was a well-thought multi-channel effort directly targeting drivers and pedestrians where they were. While the campaign was initially born out of a tragic event, that was not the focus of the message. Safety on college campuses is a very important topic, and taking full ownership of the conversation with this campaign is admirable.
