Alex is naturally a passionate leader. He believes in leading by example, demonstrating to others how they can work smarter and improve their own processes for the benefit of themselves and others. Alex thrives on challenges, problem solving and innovation.

Before joining Advancement at the University of Melbourne in October 2018 as the Head of Business Operations, Alex held management roles in Student and Academic Services at the University of Auckland. Previous to his work in the higher education sector, Alex was a market research professional in Russia and New Zealand. Alex holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work, a Postgraduate Diploma in Sociology and a Diploma in Languages (French).
