Q: Does CASE have any resources about online day of giving campaigns in higher education?

A: The Library has developed a resource collection and series of short case studies to help members understand day of giving campaigns.

Day of giving campaigns, sometimes called fundraising blitzes or money bombs, are fundraising campaigns conducted within a short time frame—generally between 12 to 48 hours. A day of giving can be a standalone event on a date important to the institution or held in connection with a larger event, such as #GivingTuesday or a regional Give to the Max Day.

The Library has highlighted successful day of giving campaigns, including past Circle of Excellence Award winners, at 30 colleges and universities in the United States, United Kingdom and Australia.
