CASE District News

District II seeks input, ideas and volunteers for its annual district conference,"Charting the Future," set for March 22-24, 2009, in Baltimore, Md.

District III has joined with longtime educational partners to develop one-day "power" workshops this fall. More information and online registration will be posted soon.

District V-Registration is under way for the 34th annual CASE V conference, "Converge. Connect. Chicago." The conference at Chicago's Sheraton Hotel and Towers is Dec. 14-16. Get details and register at the CASE District V Web site.

The conference will feature a workshop for newcomers to advancement and pre-conference sessions on "The Power of the Ask" and "An Annual Giving Tutorial" as well as sessions on alumni boards, alumni associations, generational demographics and a magazine workshop.

District VI is offering scholarship programs for its annual conference, "Exhilarate," set for Jan. 25-27, 2009, in Kansas City, Mo.

  • The Advancing Diversity Program will accept up to 17 applicants to participate in special activities at the conference. CASE District VI invites each educational institution to nominate up to three individuals who are from diverse backgrounds. Applicants are evaluated on education, experience, and career goals and plans. Visit the CASE District VI Web site to download the application. The application deadline is Oct. 3.
  • The New Professional and Emerging Student Scholarship Program covers conference registration fees and provides a travel and housing stipend for recipients who live outside of the conference's host city. More information and application forms are available online. The application deadline is Oct. 3.
  • And remember, District VI service awards provide a great way to honor an outstanding CASE colleague, volunteer or chief executive leader. Service award nominations are due Oct. 10.
