Fundraising Begins at Home

Engaging faculty and staff in fundraising campaigns is an important part of an institution's overall strategy but requires careful planning and two-way communication for success. That's according to Howard Heevner, assistant vice chancellor of alumni engagement at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and presenter at a recent CASE webinar.

Cards, Carnivals, Selfies: Students Celebrate Philanthropy

On Thursday, Feb. 25, Monclair State University hosted its third annual Red Hawk Day of Thanks, drawing more than 1,000 students to the event—record participation for the New Jersey school. At eight philanthropy stations around campus, students penned thank you cards to donors, signed thank you posters, which will be displayed at homecoming, and snapped photos with the Rocky the Red Hawk mascot.

CASE has launched a search for a vice president of education to succeed Norma Walker, who will retire in July after 34 years with the association.

CASE Research Awards April 1 Deadline for Entries

Individuals who are currently conducting a research project related to educational advancement are encouraged to submit an entry for a CASE Research Award to help fund the in-progress research. Each year, the awards recognize outstanding work in data collection for educational advancement. The submission deadline is April 1, 2016.

  • District I will be accepting call for proposals in April for its 2017 annual conference. Keep an eye out for the announcement and additional details!

District III

  • If you attended the District III annual conference, please complete the District III conference evaluation. Conference organizers use this feedback to improve the annual conferences.
  • Submit a proposal to present at the 2017 annual conference by April 1.  Review the presentation guidelines and submit a proposal.
