Meet New Advisory Committee Members

The CASE Center for Community College Advancement has named new members to fill two vacancies on its advisory committee: Geraldine Gallagher, president of the Valencia Foundation in Orlando, Fla., and Robin Duncan, vice president of marketing and communications at Mount Wachusett Community College in Gardner, Mass. Gallagher also serves on the CASE National Committee for Institutionally Related Foundations, and Duncan is a member of the CASE District I Board of Directors.

An episode of the Advancement Talk podcast on strengthening the relationship between an institution's chief executive and chief development officer is available to Community College Advancement News readers until April 8. Recognize Advancement Excellence

March 14 is the nominations deadline for the 2014 Circle of Excellence Awards. The international awards program recognizes the work of CASE members by acknowledging superior accomplishments that have lasting impact, demonstrate the highest level of professionalism and deliver exceptional results. There are several categories specifically for community colleges.

Attend a Fundraising Workshop for Presidents

CASE is coordinating a preconvention workshop on leadership and fundraising April 5 at the 94th American Association of Community Colleges Annual Convention in Washington, D.C. The workshop will feature presidents and fundraisers who have helped create and sustain successful fundraising programs.

Spotlight a Stellar Professor

CASE and the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching are now accepting nominations for the 2014 U.S. Professors of the Year awards, which honor the nation's best undergraduate teachers. The deadline for entries is April 14, 2014.
