CASE Announces Support for Universal Charitable Deduction

On May 22, CASE announced support for a universal charitable deduction, a proposal that would both preserve the value of the current charitable deduction while allowing all taxpayers to benefit from the current charitable deduction.

U.S. Senators Introduce CHARITY Act

U.S. Senators have introduced the Charities Helping Americans Regularly Throughout the Year Act of 2017, designed to encourage charitable giving and streamline rules related to certain tax-exempt organizations.

CASE District News

District I

  • District I is now accepting session proposals for the 2018 CASE District I Conference. Submit a proposal today. Deadline is Friday, June 30, 2017.
  • Mark your calendar: The annual District I Annual Conference will take place March 15-16, 2018, at the Westin Copley Place in Boston.
  • Later this month, District I will be accepting nominations for the Excellence Awards and the Achievement and Recognition Awards. Look for an email announcement.

District II

Save the date for the District II Annual Conference, February 25-27, 2018, at the Gaylord National Resort and Conference Center at National Harbor, just outside of Washington, D.C.

District III

  • CASE District III is recruiting judging coordinators for the 2017-2018 award season.
  • District III is accepting nominations for its Chief Leadership Award for chief executives whose contributions to their campuses and communities deserve exceptional recognition and celebration. Review selection criteria and procedures and submit nominations by July 28, 2017.
  • Nominations are also open for District III's special recognition programs: Bill Franklin Volunteer of the Year, the Diversity and Inclusion Award and Mentor of the Year. Nominations should be a 1000-word essay emailed to the appropriate judging coordinator by July 28, 2017.
