2015 Most Generous Year Ever

U.S. individuals, estates, foundations and corporations donated a record-setting $373.25 billion in 2015, a 4.1 percent increase over 2014, according to the latest report by Giving USA. Giving to education grew nearly 9 percent between 2014 and 2015 to $57.48 billion.

Bill Expanding IRA Charitable Rollover to Life Income Plans Introduced

The Legacy IRA Act (H.R. 5171), introduced by four members of the U.S. House Ways and Means Committee, would expand the IRA charitable rollover to allow taxpayers to make tax-free contributions to life income plans.

  • Nominations for the District III Chief Executive Leadership award are due July 29. This award recognizes the chief executive of a District III member institution for outstanding leadership and service in support of education.
  • Donate an item for the District III annual conference silent auction. All proceeds support scholarships for students and professionals who may not have the opportunity to experience the annual conference otherwise. Donate here.

  • Speak at the CASE District VII conference, March 8-11, 2017, at the Paradise Point Resort in San Diego, California. Areas of focus include advancement services, alumni relations, campaigns, communications/marketing, personal and professional development, philanthropy and small shops. Proposals will be accepted through July 29.
