Giving USA Survey: Giving to Education “Robust”

Individuals, businesses and foundations in the United States donated more than $335 billion to charitable causes in 2013, a 4.4 percent increase over 2012 and the highest total since 2009, according to results released today by Giving USA Foundation. Giving to education increased an estimated 8.9 percent to $52.07 billion.

House Committee Approves Bill that Would Permanently Extend IRA Charitable Rollover

On May 29, the House Ways and Means Committee approved H.R. 4619, a bill that would permanently extend the IRA charitable rollover. The full House may vote on the bill in the coming weeks.

Mark your calendars for the 2015 CASE District VI conference: The Denver Sheraton Denver Downtown will host the district conference Jan. 11-13, 2015. Registration will be available before the end of the fiscal year so members can use any available funds from this year to cover conference fees. Look for a registration notice via email in the coming months.

Also, today is the deadline to submit conference proposals: The CASE 2015 Conference Planning Committee seeks proposals for topics within the following tracks:
