One-Third of Senators Urge Colleagues to Protect Charitable Deduction

In a Jan. 23 letter, 33 members of the U.S. Senate urged Senate Finance Committee Chair Max Baucus (D-Mont.) and Ranking Member Orrin Hatch (R-Utah) to protect the “full value and scope of the charitable deduction during a comprehensive rewrite of the tax code."
