Survey Ranks Most Charitable Countries

A survey of giving worldwide indicates that the United States is the most charitable country with Canada, Myanmar and New Zealand tying for second place. Other countries featured in the top 10 include Ireland (5), the United Kingdom (6) and Australia (7).

IRA Charitable Rollover Will Expire Dec. 31, Prospects for Extension Unclear in 2014

Congress will adjourn for the year without extending the IRA Charitable Rollover, which expires Dec. 31, 2013. Lawmakers hope to consider retroactive extensions of expiring tax provisions as part of comprehensive tax reform in 2014.
