CASE District News

District I

The District I Excellence Awards are now open. All submissions will receive feedback from the judges. Submit your entry by Sept. 30.

Registration is now open for the district's first fall program, "Between These Four Walls: A Conversation on Trustees," which takes place Sept. 13, 2013, at Boston University. Register today.


District II

One of the District II regional programming volunteer groups held a very successful roundtable for principal gifts officers in New York City earlier this month. The event had 21 attendees and was sponsored by the District II board and coordinated by Allie Quick from the University of Pittsburgh, Joanne Cahill from Penn State and Lil O'Rourke from Syracuse University.  

The district's regional programs have become an important addition to the services and benefits provided to its members in addition to the venture capital fund grants that are awarded twice a year.

The volunteer committee that is managing the district's venture capital fund program set new goals for the VCF to strengthen District II's brand identity with the program. Paul Adamo of SUNY-Oneonta and Robin Rezvani from Johns Hopkins are co-chairs. The amount budgeted for FY14 grants is $30,000. The first round of awards will be approved this fall.


District IV

The call for proposals is now open for the CASE District IV annual conference. The conference is scheduled for April 13-15 in Houston, Texas. Take a moment and submit your presentation idea today!

CASE District IV would also like to thank Kimberly Selber and the rest of the CASE Padre planning team on a fabulous few days of professional development in South Texas.


District V

The deadline to submit nominations for the CASE V Chief Executive Leadership Award has been extended. Please submit applications online by the end of the day on Aug. 30. Visit the CASE V website for details.


District VI

District VI invites institutions to host seminars on their campuses and reminds members of several upcoming deadlines.

Would you like to host your colleagues at a half-day CASE Conversations seminar on your campus? Hosting a seminar is a great way to connect your advancement staff with colleagues, enhance your job skills, engage with bright people and show off your school. If interested, please contact Lee Denker by Sept. 6, 2013.

The deadline for the District VI Service Awards is Aug. 30, so be sure to submit nominations for outstanding CASE colleagues, volunteers, rising stars or chief executive leaders.

Also be sure to submit applications for the Institutional Awards by Sept. 30 to get recognized for the excellent work you do in every area of advancement. View the categories. Submit your application(s) online.

Lastly, District VI is proud to offer up to 12 scholarships to assist people interested in attending the District VI conference, which will be held Jan. 12-14, 2014, in Kansas City. The scholarships, eligible for CASE institutions not in or near Kansas City, include awards for advancing diversity, emerging students and new professionals.


District VII
