This year Pay it Forward will rocket student-focused philanthropy into outer space throughout the week of the event as students are able to learn about opportunities created through private giving, send thank you notes to those who have influenced their Purdue experience, learn about alumni that are paying it forward and come together to show that every gift of paying it forward can positively impact the Boilermaker experience. This year's program will feature stories of students who were "launched" towards their dreams through scholarships, resources that have been supplied to serve these dreams including facilities, internships, and study abroad experiences, and finally encouragement for helping others reach for their own stars.

Rowan University, Student Alumni Association
TAG, which will become an annual event, was an exciting and interactive way to learn about philanthropic gifts that have benefited Rowan University and its students. During the week of Homecoming 2016, large gold gift tags decorated campus serving as a visual representation of the generous gifts made by alumni and donors. The Student Alumni Association wanted to recognize the positive difference their kindness has made and to help students understand what philanthropy looks like on both a small-scale and a large-scale.

The main purpose of TAG was to increase awareness about the impact of philanthropic gifts made my alumni and donors. It also aimed to create a successful hashtag that could be used on social media for the event in years to come. Additionally, TAG was driven by social media, directing students to the Student Alumni Association's social media accounts - specifically Instagram and Twitter. The hashtag was used over 130 times throughout the week.

The Student Alumni Association partnered with the Office of Student Activities to offer the opportunity for students playing as Homecoming teams to earn spirit points by playing TAG. Teams were encouraged to take photos with up to 6 different tags. For each photo with a unique tag posted to Instagram that tags @RowanSAA and uses the #RowanTAG, teams earned 5 points. Each team had the ability to earn a maximum of 30 points (6 different tags). Teams also had to hashtag their team name to be counted.

TAG sparked conversations about philanthropy among students and staff on campus and increased Twitter followers by 18% and Instagram followers by 27%. In addition to individuals, 16 Homecoming teams played TAG - seven of which visited more than six TAG locations. TAG was also the first new addition to Homecoming week competitions/activities since 2012. The event increased collaborative efforts between the Office of Alumni Engagement and the Office of Student Activities.

University of Evansville Student Alumni Ambassadors
Awareness Day: Monday, March 27
What would students do if their semester ended early? If tuition dollars "ran out" and donor gifts weren't available? UE students, faculty, and staff are invited to kick off Pep & Vim Philanthropy Week by joining us for free ice cream and to learn more about how donations from alumni, parents and friends keep UE running even after tuition dollars "run out!" Also, make sure to drop by and sign the Thank-a-Donor Banner which will be displayed at the gift of scholarship dinner!

Gratitude Day: Tuesday, March 28 - Donuts for Donors
March 28th is a special day for UE employee donors! In appreciation of all UE faculty, staff, and administrators who not only support UE with their time, but also make financial gifts supporting UE, Donut Bank donuts will be delivered to offices as a special thank you! Students are encouraged to sign the 'Thank You' Banner at the Pep & Vim table in Ridgway from 11:00am-1:00pm and to stop by and write a personal thank you card that will be mailed to donors!

Class Act Day: Wednesday, March 29
For students at UE, Class Act Day is a chance to make a difference for future UE students and to leave a legacy on campus! At special tables set up in Ridgway, students can show their support and love for UE by making gifts! All student donors who make a gift will have their name displayed on a leaf on The Giving Tree which will be on display in the Ridgway University Center.

Gift of Scholarship Dinner: Thursday, March 30
A vital component of Pep & Vim week is the gift of scholarship dinner. Each year, the office of development and Alumni Relations gets to sponsor a dinner and have the privilege of spending an evening with our donors and telling them "thank you!"
Because of our alumni and University friends who make gifts, our students have received the special gift of scholarship! These donations are not just financial support, they are giving life-changing opportunities to the foundation and most prized possession of the University, our students.
When you give the gift of scholarship to a student at UE, you give someone the opportunity to pursue their passion. Their passion for music, so they can study what they love. You enable a student to attend college and pursue research in preventative medical practices. Your gifts help students become confident leaders, volunteers, teammates, mothers and fathers, world-travelers, doctors, and professors!

UE Pep and Vim Day!: Friday March 31 - Participation Day
Celebrate UE's annual day of giving by participating and making a gift towards student scholarships or another designation of your choice. Special events that day include a Lunch with the Aces, Fridays at 5, and much more to look forward to!
